Science fiction shows promised us that there would be bullet trains everywhere by 2020, and yet here we are still dealing with plain old, slow trains that take hours to get you from one place to the other. That’s not the fault of the science fiction shows, though – it’s the fault of governments who haven’t acted quickly enough to take advantage of technology that’s already available to them.
