Amazing Stuff
The first bicycle to hit the streets was named the Swiftwalker and wheeled around in the early 1800s. There wasn’t much to it, with a wooden frame, no cogs, gears, or pedals to speak of. Riders would use their feet to propel themselves like they were the Flintstones, and if you want to fast downhill then it usually ends in disaster because the Swiftwalker didn’t have any brakes either.
